Camp Flog Gnaw 2023
crowd surfing solar-power
Overdrive was tasked with providing solar-powered batteries to power the event signage and other essential infrastructure that was positioned amongst the festival crowd, where loud and dirty diesel engines would have impacted the concert experience.
Our silent and modular battery systems provided reliable power throughout the entire event and accommodated last minute site planning changes by the event organizers.
Power provided:
Main Event Signage
Merchandise Tent
ADA viewing platform & charging station
General Store
Water Station
Law Enforcement

Our team set up a solar array on an adjacent hill from the main event site, providing an abundance of solar power to keep our batteries continuously charged. The excess power was further utilized to charge our fleet vehicles and lend some power to other small contractors providing lighting and equipment to the event.
With the extra solar-power we were generating, we were able to accommodate a last minute request from event organizers to provide solar power for a water refill station located next to a main stage. Our team immediately installed a small solar-array right as doors were opening to the public and had water flowing within minutes.

Adaptability in the field
The flexibility of our modular power services proved invaluable on the day of the event. Our engineers were able to quickly identify that the merchandise tent was drawing significantly less power than expected.
Within minutes our team was able to swap the tent power over to an array of smaller portable batteries and freed up a 100-AMP battery system for the event organizers to set up an additional vendor station in an area with no grid power.
